S&P Consultants Ltd is seeking Geotechnical Instrumentation Engineers/Scientists/Technologists with strong experience in providing Infrastructure Monitoring Services (IMS) to support our growing business including automated data acquisition systems and remote sensing. The ideal candidate will have proven IMS-related project management skills and a track record for delivering geotechnical IMS services on design, construction projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide IMS-related project management and support on projects during the design and construction phase
- Project and task management
- Performing IMS data requisition and analysis
- Development and production of IMS-related plans, profiles, and cross-sections utilizing MicroStation or AutoCAD software
- Development of IMS-related specifications
- Provide client management for existing and new strategic clients
- Contribute to Company’s public profile by actively participating in leadership and technical roles in professional organizations, including presenting on IMS capabilities
- Communicate project conditions and potential solutions to technical engineering staff
- Efficient at balancing multiple concurrent tasks, responsibilities, and commitments
- Must be willing to travel; some overnight travel should be expected
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IMS-relevant field, Master’s preferred
- Prior experience with IMS services in construction projects
- Ability to navigate investigation and construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders and work outside
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, MicroStation, and data management computer programs
- Very good oral and written communications skills
- Strong professional work ethic and desire to perform at a high level
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Attention to detail and well-organized
- Effective analytical and time management skills
- Ability to conduct business travel
